I knew you would lol We actually had to use a cut off wheel, then an 8 pound sledge to get the slug out of the bottom of the knuckle....then a 20 ton hydraulic press to get the slug out of the little sleeve.

insanity.

the junkyards that are in my area, have basically huge yard crews that drain all the fluids(by drilling holes in the bottoms of the covers) and remove the trash/ treasure before a vehicle hits the yard. any tools that you find in the yard were dropped by one of the other paying entrants. the city has basically squeezed out the smaller yards. the few small yards left wont let you in unsupervised or are yards where THEY remove the part for you at a “premium”.
